Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. ~1 Peter 3:8&9
YOU ARE CALLED. These three words are so powerful. YOU ARE CALLED. Soak it in. Believe it. YOU ARE CALLED. When it becomes truth for you, live it.
YOU ARE CALLED to live in harmony with those around you. YOU ARE CALLED to be sympathetic, to love, and to be compassionate to those who cross your path this week. YOU ARE CALLED to live humbly, to be humble in your actions. And here is the tough one...YOU ARE CALLED to be kind even when you have been wronged.."do not repay evil with evil, insult with insult".
YOU ARE CALLED.
As I was looking for verses to pray over each of my family members this week and a verse for my blog family (that is you!), this one, for God's reason which I don't fully understand at this point, this verse He has chosen for me to pray over you this week. No matter what lies ahead-in the good and in the bad-remember YOU ARE CALLED to live out all these things. Be a blessing this week friend.
You are indeed a blessing to me.

And praise the LORD that we've been called by the LORD!
"all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are CALLED according to His purposes".
Bless you dear sister in Christ.
Pamela,
This may very well be my scripture memory for the 15th. I see this in a whole new way today, Friend.
Sister, You are called!!!
Lovingly,
Yolanda
It's always good to remember You are called!! Sometimes we doubt that what we are doing is right....but then I have to always remember that I was called. That even if I feel under qualified or not ready, HE says I am, whether I feel it or not.
Thanks again for the insight, keep it coming!!
You are called, friend, to do this ministry; not only here in blogland, but in your home church. We launch ours on Tuesday night, and we will pray for you and your group. Just keep being faithful to do what God has laid on your heart. I'm having to stay faithful in my writing, even though I've yet to have anyone interested in it enough to publish it. It's been the hardest discipline of my last two years, but I feel called to do it.
God is honoring my desire in different ways than I had originally planned. He may be doing the same with you. If it starts small, start small. Your enthusiasm to see it through will grow it along the way.
Don't become weary in doing God's good. Just keep doing it.
I'll be praying.
peace~elaine
Hi Pamela,
I've popped across from Lelia's page and I am so glad I did. My job involves communication with alot of people who test my patience and mood immensely. These verses are helping me to keep my cool and remember that I AM CALLED to be harmonious, ssympathetic, compassionate and humble, and to bless people when I reply to their emails. A test at times, but not now that I've read these verses. Thank you. Paula :-)
Pam,
I needed this verse, it's funny I've had some growing things in my heart lately, and this verse stood out to me as well as your memory verse. They talked about being chosen and called.
I also needed this verse for work, I need to remember who I'm really representing at work.
Love,
Carol
And i want to respond to that call. thanks for praying this over us, Pamela. Will pray it for you too!
Pamela, I just read your comment on the AT THE WELL page on yesterdays topic of "motives". I have just said a prayer for you and for your leadership. May God enlarge your territory of influence of your local women. May your hearts desire continue to be His heartbeat. Sometimes growth happens one at a time ... keep on sharing His love with those around you! -Blessings, Laurie
Hey there, Pamela,
I LOVE this post (and your fire for our JESUS)! AWESOME! I really like the scripture you choose too. I recently had the boys memorize it.. back when they started fighting ALL the time. Then, when I corrected them I had SCRIPTURE to remind them of. I could show them how GOD wants and expects us to respond to each other. Isn't it something how no matter how many times we read certain scriptures we can ALWAYS get something NEW from them??
whoops.. I should have proof-read BEFORE I posted that comment. I meant to say *chose* not choose. (I'm a dork, overlook me) =-)
