It's my favorite day of the week...ABC's of the WORD. We post a scripture with a word or words starting with the letter S. Be sure to visit Pam at Grey Like Snuffie for more precious scripture! Like she said..."Lets stir up God's Word!!"
Nevertheless, to remind you, I have written to you more boldly on some points because of the grace given me by God to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, serving as a priest of God's good news. My purpose is that the offering of the Gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Therefore I have reason to boast in Christ Jesus regarding what pertains to God. ~Romans 15:15-17 (HCSB)
My "S" word....sanctified. To be sanctified is to be to set apart for sacred use; consecrated, to make holy, purified. There are two emotions here for me....OUCH because of my failure in this and LONGING because I so desire to be set apart for Christ in and through my life.
My heart has really been convicted in my recent Bible study about how much I am really doing for Christ in my Life...not in the doing by task as much as the building
of His kingdom. The end results.
Lord, sanctified our hearts, our minds, our lives so that we may boast all the more of YOU. We want to see You, to know You better, to love You more.

That's so cool how God is stirring in you. I seem to be in a season of life where my response is always "pursue Him each day and all else will follow". To sit at His feet each day and soak Him in...where I've quieted my self before Him...then I will hear whatever is to be for that moment or day. I've had to learn that sometimes it's not the quantity but the quality...sorry, babbling...that word hits home with me also. Thanks for taking part...hope your day is grand
Sanctify...
Such a beautiful word.
I love it when He speaks to me through my Bible study. Sounds like you are hearing some pretty good stuff!
Hope you are well. I will miss you at SheSpeaks this year. I have decided not to go :(
Maybe next year.
Hi Pamela!
What a great choice for S...sanctify, sanctification. It's amazing that this process is prompted and inspired by the Holy Spirit in our lives...
Blessings on you and your desire to do more for the Kingdom. :0)
One of my favorite words! One of the hardest to understand and therefore, receive unto myself.
Hope all is well, Pam. Sorry I haven't been here. Still and yet, you're in my thoughts.
peace~elaine
