ABC's of the WORD..."V"

Stirring up God's Word with scripture with Pam at Gray Like Snuffie's MeMe...

He said to them, "You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows your hearts. What is highly valued among men is detestable in God's sight. ~Luke 16:15

To value something is to hold it in high regard, to be of worth, to esteem. So I challenge you to search your heart today and let God show you if what you value is in line with what He values.

Be blessed!!

Oh my...this is a good one. I laugh at myself each week as I say things like that...because all of the Word is GRAND...but each week these quick little hits of different scriptures do indeed stir something up in me...thanks for taking part Pam! Will be praying for your week with the youth next week...lots of strength but also a special revelation from God in a personal way for you!

The closer I walk and the more intentional I am about God, the more I have come to realize that my values did not line up with His. May the Holy Spirit prick me today, if I fall into that ditch again.

Love,
Yolanda

This is an important matter to consider always. Where our treasure is, there our heart resides.

What I value most today, and hopefully for the days to come, is knowing God. Period. I'm trying to re-work my life to put this overall goal before any others.

Thanks for your prayers. Praying you have a week of "knowing God" more as you interact with some very special people.

Great post Pamela!!

I love to come here an see what letter you are working on for that post. When I saw "V"... I thought of vine. Value was a great word.

I am going to use this same concept for our Wives Sunday School retreat... I think it will be so fun!! To see what words the ladies come up with.

Love ya!

I agree with Lynn....the words you come up with each week are not the ones I would think of right away. I want to start on too....each woman has a different prespective, a different outlook, a different life experience....I want to see where it leads!
Thanks Pam for the inspiration!
