Standing on the Wings

I turned the TV on as I was ironing my daughters clothes for school this morning and here was this picture and the announcer stated "Standing on the wings, waiting for their rescue":
We praise God for the skill of that pilot to bring Flight 1549 into that Hudson water and then without a life loss....yes, another praise-no lives lost. My mind quickly latched onto that announcers words "Standing on the wings"..."waiting". I went to and quickly looked up all the passages referencing "wings". The majority of these passages referenced being under God's wing or in the shelter of His wings. Protection. Comfort. Shelter. Security.

Deuteronomy 32:10-12 (New King James Version)
“He found him in a desert land
and in the wasteland, a howling wilderness; He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye.
As an eagle stirs up its nest, Hovers over its young, Spreading out its wings, taking them up, Carrying them on its wings,
So the LORD alone led him, And there was no foreign god with him."

So to God will carry us on His wings and bring us to safety, to peace, to healing.

Wait on Him. Stand on His wings. Trust. Believe. Praise.

His Maidservant~Pamela

I saw this on the news! Amazing the landing and the rescue! That pilot needs to be recognized with honors!
Yes, I am grateful to be carried on His wings. Wings of strength and protection!
Hope your day is filled with His presence,
Miriam :)

Pamela, wonderful message!

I saw this throughout the day yesterday and thought to myself that God laid that plane down on the Hudson River and kept those people safe as they stood on the wings.

The Word tells us that it's under the shadow of His wings we can hide!

Bless you.

Yes-The Piolt in that Plane...he does deserve honors...although the Piolt I'm speaking of isn't the one the media is speaking of. Oh-the praise he I am thinking of this and reading your post...I wonder, just wonder if the piolt is a Christian, I wonder if those passengers that stood on the wings of the plane are Christians? I wonder if the passengers/staff of that plane has given HIM the praise and Glory he deserves? I wonder, I hope. I only hope that he finds enough good here to not destroy us. I wonder if anyone was witnessed to by a Christian during this event-I wonder if anyone Accepted Christ as thier Saviour because of this event?

Thank you Lord, you know our needs...You know the number of hairs on our head...I PRAISE YOU!!!

Thank you for your post

Wasn't that an amazing story? I was struck by the one passenger who said that everyone started praying after the pilot said, "prepare for impact."

God is so good.

p.s. I love the picture of you and Yolanda!

My sister lives in the town that pilot lives in and saw his wife and kids interviewed on tv. She says she was proud of him, and she was excited to have him home.

Praise God for the saving of those people, I hope they will connect their prayers to the one true God.

I waiting for the day God brings up under the saftey of His wings.

:) Carol
